Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar is in the spot-light once again as reports have emerged of him not spending even a single rupee during his tenure as Rajya Sabha member in his respected area.

Along with Tendulkar, yesteryear Bollywood actress Rekha is also believed to have contributed nothing as her role as a Rajya Sabha member and has failed to even adopt a district, reports the Times of India.

It may well be remembered that Tendulkar was adopted as a Rajya Sabha member in 2012 and had also chosen Mumbai suburban as his choice of district.

But sadly the Mumbai maestro till date has not done any contribution of note in his role as Rajya Sabha member and according to reports he has not spent even a single rupee from his ‘Members of Parliament Local Area Development’ (MPLAD) fund.

Rajya Sabha rules state that the Upper House members of parliament get to chose a district of their choice and also are allotted a fee of INR 5 crore in their MPLAD fund.

Reports further state that Tendulkar has not sent any development project proposal to the government over the years and has also a collective fund of INR 10 crore in his two-year old account.
