# Netherlands now have scored the lowest T20I score. The previous lowest was by Kenya when they were bowled out for 56 by Afghanistan in September 2013.  It is the second lowest overall. Tripura had scored 30 against Maharashtra in 2009.

# Sri Lanka have registered the major victory in terms of balls remaining. Sri Lanka won with 90 balls remaining. The previous best was by Ireland when they won with 76 balls to spare against Kenya in March 2012.

# This also was the shortest ever completed innings. They faced only 63 deliveries. The previous record was held by South Africa when they were bowled for 100 in 74 deliveries against Pakistan in March 2013.

# Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga is now the highest wicket-taker in World T20 competition with 36 wickets. Before the start of the match, he was joint top with Saeed Ajmal with 34 wickets. Meanwhile, another Sri Lankan, Ajantha Mendis has also moved up to second on highest wicket-takers list in World T20s with 35 wickets.

Put into bat, the North recovered from a precarious 63 for four in the 21st over to post a challenging 265 for seven in their 50 overs thanks to Paliwal’s 113-ball 107 not out and Gurkeerat Singh‘s 66-ball 77 in the first semifinal at Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.

# Sri Lanka now hold a unique record of the highest and lowest runs across formats.
